Jaguar Project 7

July 10, 2013 by mak in Whips

Set to debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Jaguar Project 7 Concept celebrates Jaguar's seven victories at Le Mans between 1951 and 1990. Based on the F-Type, Project 7 showcases the creativity of the design and engineering teams at Jaguar, with minor tweaks to almost every aspect of the car. The performance has been upped from the original with more horsepower, lower ride hight, free flow exhaust and several aerodynamic changes including lower seated position and even a lower windshield. Uniquely the radical design only allows for an experience of one; the driver, so your date will have to find another way to join you at the movies.

Outside Van

Outside Van HQ
October 16, 2012 by dit in Travel, Gear, Whips

Most people just know the Mercedes Sprinter Van as the daily run about for the Fed-Ex guy (or gal). If you have ever owned or driven one though, chances are you enjoyed it. The Sprinter is super roomy, purpose built, and surprisingly efficient for its size thanks to a diesel engine. Outside Van (~$5000+) is a custom Sprinter shop for the outdoors enthusiast. You bring them your Sprinter van and  tell them what activities you aim to do- whether it be haul lots of friends, bring crazy amounts of gear, or go car camping. After that, Outside Van goes crazy making tons of custom modifications that make your van unique and tailored just for you. The Mercedes Sprinter is pretty darn cool just to start with, but after Outside has done their work you have something special created by people with an equally great passion for exploring the world. As you may imagine they aren't hurting for business- It will run  a 1000 bucks just to get put on their jobs list.

BMW C Evolution

October 15, 2012 by dit in Whips

Scooters have to be one of the funnest, and definitely fastest, ways to maneuver any urban environment. Small size and excellent economy make this mode of transportation a no brainer. BMW seeks to extend scootering efficiency even more with its development of the C Evolution ($tba). The all electric scooter has an impressive speed of 75 mph and a reported range of 62 miles. Unlike electric cars the C Evolution only takes 3 hours to reach a full charge and will juice up to 70% battery in just 35 minutes. A tablet like display adds to the futuristic fit and finish. The range can even be extended 10-20% with proper riding technique and regenerative technologies. What does all that electricity cost? About one cent per mile. Sorry, but that is as cheap as travel gets right there. Still, you will need to drive many many miles to offset the eventual upfront cost of this machine.

Art of Kinetik Antagonist

October 05, 2012 by dit in Whips

Few things in life are perfect; an Art of Kinetik yacht is one of them. Now that's quite the statement, but Art of Ketetic certainly does not aim to deceive. Only a 100% flawless motor yacht will ever leave their shipyard. Every rivet, every tool, every stage is assessed from start to finish. No plastic or screws are visible anywhere on the craft. Don't worry about standing out- Art of Kinetik certainly does with their signature mahogany hulls. The Antagonist is the middle child of their three craft line-up . The perfect size to pop from island to island, the Antagonist measures in at 38 feet. With two 370 hp common-rail diesel engines this beauty will whisk you from point a to point b at up to 48mph.
