In pursuit of this goal lies the TT-15S1 ($1500). To get there, Marantz has used an AC servo, an endless silicon belt-drive system, and a low-coloration aluminum tone arm. It is also undeniably one of the best looking turntables you will lay eyes on for a long time to come.
Traditional framing is... expensive, cumbersome, time consuming, a bit boring... need we go on? Introducing Plywerk (~$80) a framing alternative that escapes all the aforementioned pit falls. The company hand produces maple or (even cooler) bamboo panels in a wide range of sizes. You can upload your own images directly to their site and they will deliver the mounted image on panel right to your door. If you prefer to do the dirty work yourself you can also buy the blank panels pre-coated with their unique adhesive and save yourself some dough- also great for custom applications.
As if wooden toast shaped coasters are not cool enough, Black Box Design Group has inlaid their own French Bulldog pup. The 'French Toasters' (~$15) are laser cut from three layers of birch and have a cork backing to protect fine furniture. If only Spock was for sale too.
